What’s a CBD cannabis flower?

When talking of flowers, we refer to the blossom, the buds that grow from a hemp plant. More specifically, they come from female hemp plants, because male ones produce only seeds and flowers whose unique function is to pollinate the female. Therefore, the plants used to grow flowers come from seedless cannabis genetics.

Buds that come from a female plant contain plenty of chemical substances and are covered in resin, more or less compact. Within the chemical elements present in the bloom, the most important compunds are THC, or tetrahydrocannabinol, and CBD, or cannabidiol. Flowers of different strains may have a different percentage of each substance, for exemple an indica has usually THC levels higher than a sativa hemp strain. Moreover, THC and CBD content in the inflorescences often depends on the cultivation method as well as the treatments to which the plants may be subject.

Therefore,CBD-rich hemp flowers are those that come from type of plants that are cultivated in a way that the buds that come from have a high concentration of cannabidiol.
